Alan is considered to be highly experienced management executive, possessing over ten years’ of international experience, working across four continents, in a multitude of countries and political environments. He’s an accomplished, innovative and dynamic leader, with a proven track record for leading multiple, complex, strategic projects to ensure successful delivery and exceed client expectations.
He began his successful career working within one of Ireland's premier brand activation and sponsorship agencies, working on projects on behalf of a broad range of brands including Diageo, Coca-Cola, Pepsi-co, Corona Extra, Sony Pictures and Mondelēz International. He has advised on and negotiated commercial partnerships across both sport and live entertainment, national and international. Alan’ major event and sponsorship experience brings great insight into the broader activation objectives required by the modern brand, in order to integrate a sponsorship opportunity to maximise the value proposition for the brand and the business.
A keen sports fan, Alan jumped at the opportunity to join the London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) during the London 2012 Olympic cycle. He has also held leadership and decision-making roles in a number of high profile international organisations, including the Rio 2016 Olympic & Paralympic Games, London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), Baku 2015 European Games and premium venues such as the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the London Olympic Stadium.
Alan prides himself on his client-centric approach and being able to provide value, improve performance and support his clients in solving complex problems. He is an ambitious & enthusiastic executive who loves working closely with the client to enact meaningful impacts.
Considered a highly professional and respected leader, particularly for his work with multiple stakeholders in both the private and public sectors. These include international sporting organisations, transport authorities, security and emergency services, and government officials such as the Mayor of London, UK Sport & British Paralympic Association.
In recent years Alan has spent most of his time providing Management Consulting services to an array of international clients, which include a selection of rights holders, host cities and commercial brands. His recent work includes providing strategic and operational advisory services to Deloitte Consulting, Live Nation, Tour de France (TdF2014), AEG Live, Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) and Football Association of Ireland (FAI).
Recognised in 2016 by the Federation of Irish Sport and nominated for a Sport Industry Award. He was also acknowledged by JCI International as a nominee for Ireland’s “Top 10 Most Influential Young People of the Year Award” in 2016.
In his spare time, he is an experienced kayak instructor, photographer and loves to travel. A keen cyclist, not one to shy away from an adventure he has completed a number of mass participation events for charity.
